Twirling NSW Athletes off to France for International Cup

Ten athletes from Twirling NSW have secured their place on the Australian Squad heading to Limoges, France for the 2019 WBTF International Cup.

These athletes are working and training hard in the lead up to the competition which will be held on 9-11th August in Limoges, France.

The prestigious International Cup Competition gives elite and pre-elite athletes the opportunity to represent their countries and
compete on an international level, and experience both the pressures and the benefits of international travel and competition.

International Cup competitors must qualify at their country’s selection process to enter the International Cup Competition is held.

International Cup athletes have the opportunity to win international medals in the individual disciplines of Solo, 2-Baton and 3-Baton, Artistic Twirl, the duo discipline of Artistic Pairs and the group disciplines including Artistic Team and Artistic Group.

The International Cup Competition offers three levels of competition, giving elite and pre-elite athletes the opportunity to compete with similarly-skilled athletes.

The International Cup Competition was established by the WBTF in 2005 to provide more opportunity for international competition and to help build twirling in developing countries.
